Different from the kimono and more practical in its construction, the jinbei was originally conceived as the ultimate summer garment. Manìn preserves its essential identity while refining its proportions, elevating it through exceptional materials and a more contemporary approach to wear.
This version is crafted in a cotton and silk blend in a deep midnight blue, a colour of rare elegance and versatility. It can be worn during the day with flat sandals and a woven basket bag, or in the evening with a precious sandal and a more refined attitude. Worn as a complete set or separated, it adapts naturally to different moments of the day.
The top closes through overlapping panels and is adjustable on the inside. Externally, two long ties allow the silhouette to be shaped and styled with freedom. The traditional shoulder pleats have been preserved, giving structure to the upper part of the garment and maintaining the architectural quality of the original jinbei.
The trousers are designed with an elasticated waist and internal adjustment, finished with two buttons, a sartorial tape and hand finished buttonholes. This construction allows the fit to remain naturally relaxed while adapting with precision, which is why the sizing is grouped as Small/Medium and Medium/Large.

Washing Instructions
To keep your garments in excellent condition:
- Hand wash or use a gentle cycle (max 30°C)
- Use mild, eco-friendly detergents
- Turn garments inside out before washing
- Avoid bleach or aggressive stain removers
- Use a medium-low spin cycle (max 800 rpm) to reduce stress on fibers and buttons
- Wash delicate items inside a mesh laundry bag whenever possible
Note on buttons:
Our garments are finished with real mother-of-pearl buttons, natural and precious. Handle with care, and avoid rough spinning or direct friction during washing.
Drying
Never tumble dry.
Heat can weaken natural fibers and damage the delicate details.
Instead:
- Gently reshape while damp
- Air dry flat or on a hanger, in a shaded, well-ventilated place
- Avoid direct sunlight, which may fade prints and alter fabric texture
Let them dry slowly and softly — just as they were made.
Everyday Tips
- Use padded hangers to preserve shape
- Fold knitwear to prevent stretching
- Store with lavender sachets or cedar wood for protection and natural fragrance
- Spot clean when possible — it saves water and keeps fabrics stronger for longer
Stain Removal
Life is for playing — here’s how to gently treat stains:
- Grass: white vinegar + cold rinse
- Fruit or juice: soak in cold water, then wash with Marseille soap
- Grease: apply talc, let absorb, brush off, wash
- Ink: gently blot with lemon juice before washing
Always blot — never rub — to avoid damaging the fibers.
