The Manìn Liberty Ianthe Chemise is crafted in Italy from iconic Liberty Fabrics Tana Lawn™ cotton, featuring the legendary Ianthe design — one of Liberty’s most recognisable and enduring patterns. Originally created around 1900 by French Art Nouveau designer R. Beauclair and later reinterpreted by David Haward’s Studio, Ianthe is a true emblem of Liberty heritage. The floral motif, here expressed in refined shades of blue, red and green, brings historical depth and timeless elegance to a contemporary silhouette.
The silk-like Tana Lawn™ cotton offers exceptional softness, fluidity and durability, making the chemise effortless to wear every day. Design is at the heart of this piece: the distinctive double collar — combining a soft ruffle collar and a classic pointed collar, stitched together — frames the neckline with subtle character. Balloon sleeves add sculptural volume, finished with adjustable double-button cuffs to personalise the sleeve effect. Slightly longer at the back for a fluid drape, the chemise is completed with luminous Australian mother-of-pearl buttons. Washing Instructions

To keep your garments in excellent condition:

Hand wash or use a gentle cycle (max 30°C)
Use mild, eco-friendly detergents
Turn garments inside out before washing
Avoid bleach or aggressive stain removers
Use a medium-low spin cycle (max 800 rpm) to reduce stress on fibers and buttons
Wash delicate items inside a mesh laundry bag whenever possible

Note on buttons:
Our garments are finished with real mother-of-pearl buttons, natural and precious. Handle with care, and avoid rough spinning or direct friction during washing.

Drying

Never tumble dry.
Heat can weaken natural fibers and damage the delicate details.

Instead:

Gently reshape while damp
Air dry flat or on a hanger, in a shaded, well-ventilated place
Avoid direct sunlight, which may fade prints and alter fabric texture

Let them dry slowly and softly — just as they were made.

Everyday Tips

Use padded hangers to preserve shape
Fold knitwear to prevent stretching
Store with lavender sachets or cedar wood for protection and natural fragrance
Spot clean when possible — it saves water and keeps fabrics stronger for longer

Stain Removal

Life is for playing — here’s how to gently treat stains:

Grass: white vinegar + cold rinse
Fruit or juice: soak in cold water, then wash with Marseille soap
Grease: apply talc, let absorb, brush off, wash
Ink: gently blot with lemon juice before washing

Always blot — never rub — to avoid damaging the fibers.
