Created in collaboration with London and Venice based cookery writer and tastemaker Skye McAlpine, The Bow Pyjama is one of the most iconic and distinctive pieces in the Manìn wardrobe.
Crafted in an exceptional double twisted striped cotton, the fabric is extraordinarily soft, with an almost silky hand and a refined structure that gives the garment both fluidity and presence. The red and white stripe evokes a distinctly Venetian mood, bold yet timeless.
Collar, revers and breast pocket are cut in a delicate pale pink windowpane cotton, introducing a subtle British contrast that reflects the spirit of the collaboration.
At Skye’s request, a red bow was introduced as the fil rouge of the piece. Rather than sourcing a conventional trim, Manìn had it created by an exceptional Piedmontese hat atelier. Each bow is cut, assembled and sewn entirely by hand by the same artisans who craft the hat bands for fine millinery, using a refined canneté ribbon woven on traditional shuttle looms.
The fit is slightly oversized and intentionally relaxed, designed to move seamlessly between home and daywear.
Worn with friulane aboard a gondola, layered beneath a soft trench for a walk through Hyde Park, or styled separately as elevated daywear, it is a piece that carries both playfulness and understatement.
